CARLA Symposium

The 360 CARLA Symposium – Careers in Photonics is a two-day career event where students and graduates meet professionals from industry to explore opportunities in the photonics sector.

Who is it for?
The symposium is designed for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and early-stage researchers from Swiss universities who are interested in photonics and future career paths in industry.

What to expect?
Participants gain insight into the photonics industry through company presentations, talks on Green Photonics and an exhibition of Swiss companies. The program also includes lab tours at BFH Burgdorf, discussion panels on career development and direct exchange with industry professionals.

A key focus is networking, with opportunities during coffee breaks, lunches and dedicated B2B meetings. The event also features an Apéro riche and an informal evening networking party.

Additional information
The symposium is free of charge for students, including a free overnight stay. Registration is mandatory before 19th April 2026.
