Prof. Dr. Alexis Kunz

Alexis completed his studies and doctorate in business administration at the University of Zurich. He then then  worked as a professor of controlling at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. After his habilitation at the University of Fribourg and a research stay at the Anderson School of the University of California (UCLA), he taught and researched for several years as a Full Professor of Financial Accounting at the University of Lausanne. Since 2011, he works as a Full Professor of Financial Accounting and Managing Director at the Institute of Accounting at the University of Bern. Alexis teaches and researches on topics of international financial reporting standards, consolidation, earnings management, and financial risk reporting. He has authored numerous international publications on financial accounting and controlling topics and has gained practical experience in numerous companies and industries in various projects.
