Inside the Wearables and Digital Biomarkers Workshop

One of the first public workshops through the MSc Precision Engineering was a collaborative effort between the University of Bern, the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Innosuisse, and the User-Centered HealthTech with experts from universities, hospitals, and industries - and many guests from various backgrounds.

We could not be happier with the outcome of the Wearables and Digital Biomarkers Workshop, held on 30 June 2022 in Bern. While there were a significant number of registrations, several guests decided spontaneously to join the event!

After the introduction by Professor Jürgen Burger from the University of Bern and Professor Thomas Niederhauser from the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Professor János Vörös took the lead with a lecture about Stretchable Bioelectronics. He captured his audience and we were taken by surprise by the many questions, already creating an interactive atmosphere. Smoothly carrying over to the parallel workshops in small groups and with impulse lectures by Professor Andrew Chang from Inselspital and Dr. Moritz Thielen from IDUN Technologies about Neurosciences, and Professor Hildegard Tanner and PD Dr. Emrush Rexhaj, both from Inselspital, as well as Dr. Alexander Panos from Evismo AG about Cardiovascular Diseases.

Later, lecturers and guests got together for an apéro and exchanged ideas long after the official end.

We hopefully expect some applications for the NTN Innovation Booster, helping new ideas get off the ground, and thank everyone involved for their participation!
